3 from Manipur test positive for COVID-19 in Delhi, opt to stay back

IMPHAL, MAY 15 (NNN): The All Naga Students’ Association, Manipur (ANSAM), the Democratic Students’ Alliance of Manipur (DESAM) and the Apunba Ireipakki Maheiroi Singpanglup (AIMS) said that three persons from Manipur in Delhi went to a private clinic to test for COVID-19 by themselves and cancelled their home bound tickets after the results came back positive for the virus.


In this regard, DESAM, AIMS and ANSAM lauded the three persons stating that they “have sacrificed their personal interests for the safety and well being of the whole population of Manipur.”


The organizations informed that the Manipur State government “has ensured mandatory COVID-19 testing for all the returnees in the state.” In this regard, the three prominent student organizations have expressed their immense gratitude to the State Government of Manipur while terming it as the “forthcoming effort of the state government”.


The organizations meanwhile extended their solidarity to all the coronavirus affected patients and their families. “We pray for your quick recovery and well being,” said the three organizations.
