Capital College wins ANCSU penalty tournament

    Our Correspondent Kohima | August 5   Capital College of Higher Education Kohima today lifted the Open Penalty Shootout tournament organised by All Nagaland College Students’ Union (ANCSU) at Kohima Local Ground here.   Altogether, 26 teams, both colleges and clubs participated in the tournament with Capital College emerging as champions after beating St Joseph’s College, Jakhama ‘B’ 5-4 in the final.   The champions received cash award of Rs 20,000 while the runner-up took away Rs 10,000. Both teams were also awarded citations.   In the individual category, the best goal keeper award of Rs 3000 with citation was bagged by Mughato Assumi of Capital College.   ANCSU Tribunal General and former speaker Kezhazer Angami handed over the awards to the winners. The tournament was organised in aid of 18th Biennial General Conference of ANCSU scheduled for first week of November this year in Mokokchung.
