DBS Lakhuti gets much awaited computer lab

Wokha, April 11 (MExN): The long awaited computer lab (15 computers) of Don Bosco School, Lakhuti was inaugurated on April 10 by Dr. Manazir Jeelani Samoon (IAS), Deputy Commissioner of Wokha. The program coincided with the Annual Sports and Games 2018.

The blessing of the computer lab was done by Rev. Fr. Jose Sebastian, Principal, St. Paul School, Sanis.

According to a press release from Rev. Fr. Shaji Mathew, principal of Don Bosco School, Lakhuti, the DC called upon the students to utilize the beautiful opportunity provided by the school in the far flung village. He also impressed upon them to aim high, try without fear of failures, and attempt new things in life.

Rev. Fr. Shaji Mathew, who delivered the welcome address, mentioned that the idea of providing computer education to the students was conceived with a great desire to put the students of Lakhuti to excel like that of their counterparts in the town. And so, the lack of finance did not deter them from dreaming to have a computer lab in the school, he added.

The release mentioned that the computer lab was set up purely with financial assistance from well-wishers and the Diocese of Kohima. The staff and students of the school together with the support of the parents initiated the process of raising fund by way of organizing a fete day on November 11, 2017.
