ENSF censures YRS dept for failing to uphold the 25% job reservation policy

DIMAPUR, AUGUST 5 (MExN): The Eastern Naga Students’ Federation (ENSF) has censured the Directorate of Youth Resources & Sports for not adhering to the 25% job reservation policy of the State Government for the Eastern Nagaland tribes namely Chang, Konyak, Phom, Sangtam, Khiamniungan and Yimchunger.

A representation addressed to the Director of the Directorate of Youth Resources & Sports by the ENSF said the irregularity is in connection to the post of Storekeeper and LDA-cum-Computer Assistant upon the government approval letter No.YRS/ESTT-43/2004 (pt) Dated 12-01-2017 and NO.YRS/ESTT.43/2004 (pt-1) Dated 05-04-2017.

Pointing out that all post are being sent to the State Government for approval, the Federation has sought clarification from the concerned department as well as from the government to rectify and streamline the anomalies and irregularities in the state and concerned department in the state job reservation policy.

Further, the Federation has also demanded that the concerned department implement the 25% job reservation or cancel the result and re-advertise the same if there is any anomalies or manipulation in filling up the posts.

In this regard, the Federation has appealed the department not to declare the result until a clear clarification is being justified. While anticipating positive response from the department, the Federation cautioned that it would be compelled to take its own course of action if their demands are not met with.
