Zunheboto, July 16 (DIPR): The Inter Departmental Indoor Games Tournament which started on July 12 concluded on July 15, in a grand manner at Badminton Auditorium Zunheboto.
Deputy Commissioner Zunheboto, Kiheto Sema, who grace the occasion as the guest of honour congratulated all the District Sports Council members for organizing such tournament for the first time in the district. He also appreciated all Heads of Departments for making the tournament a grand success. He further expressed his happiness to see so many enthusiastic participants and declared that the tournament would be a yearly event. He further informed that the District Sports Council Zunheboto would organize Open Championship Tournament very soon.
Earlier, District Sports Officer, Kivigho extended special gratitude to District Sports Council Zunheboto for organizing the tournament adding that the tournament have inspired the youngsters of Zunheboto and expressed hope that in the near future aspiring youth will achieve their goals in the field of sports.
DSCZ member, Hekato chaired the programme while vote of thanks was delivered by Organizing Secretary, Bokaho. The overall Championship goes to Kheloshe Polytechnic Atoizu while P.W.D (R&B) bagged the runners up and School Education Department bagged the Discipline prize.
