Three member inspection team from Nagaland University including Prof Das, Department of English, Prof MK Sinha, Department of Economics and Prof Athongo, Department of Sociology, inspected Yingli College, Longleng on April 28 for granting Permanent Affiliation of Honours in English, Economics, Sociology, History and Education. The team had interaction with the students and teachers of the college, and also verified the feasibility of granting permanent affiliation to the above cited subjects. It may be noted that the permanent affiliation of the Honours in Political Science and Permanent affiliation of the General Subjects of English, Economics, Sociology, History and Education had been already done in 2009.

Advisor, Tribal Affairs & Election, Tovihoto graced the inaugural programme of Netnyu community hall on April 29. Tovihoto, in his speech, reminded the gathering to keep faith in the government of the day and also their local MLA for development. He also urged everyone to maintain brotherhood and rise above our narrow tribal lines and be proud Nagas. A short speech was also delivered by MLA, B Bangtick Phom, and EAC Tamlu, Puhan Khiamniungan.
