NFR to operate special train between Guwahati and Rajkot

Maligaon, February 7 (MExN): The Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) has decided to operate one special train between Guwahati and Rajkot for two trips in both directions to clear the extra rush of passengers.

Train No. 05638 (Guwahati-Rajkot Special) will depart from Guwahati at 09:00 hours on February 8 and 15 to reach Rajkot on February 10 and 17 respectively. In return direction, Train No. 05637 (Rajkot-Guwahati Special) will depart from Rajkot on February 11 and 18 to reach Guwahati on February 13 and 20 respectively.

During it’s both ways journey the special train will run via New Bongaigaon, New Coochbehar, New Jalpaiguri, Katihar, Pt. DD Upadhyaya, Satna Jn., Ujjain Jn., Ahmedabad stations. “Wait listed passengers of other trains on this route can avail this opportunity,” stated a press release issued by Sabyasachi De, Chief Public Relations Officer, NFR.

Temporary stoppage
For the benefit of the devotees, on the occasion of Maha Shivaratri it has been decided to provide temporary stoppages of few trains at Mukuria station for two minutes from February 17 to 20. 

Train no. 15719 (Katihar-Siliguri Jn.) Intercity Express will arrive Mukuria station at 6:54 hours and depart at 6:56 hours. In return direction, train no. 15720 (Siliguri Jn.-Katihar) Intercity Express will arrive Mukuria station at 17:07 hours and depart at 17:09 hours. Train no. 15463 (Balurghat-Siliguri Jn.) Intercity Express will arrive Mukuria station at 15:35 hours and depart at 15:37 hours. In return direction, train no. 15464 (Siliguri Jn.-Balurghat) Intercity Express will arrive Mukuria station at 11:04 hours and depart at 11:06 hours.
