No question of merger: NDPP

DIMAPUR, FEBRUARY 25 (MExN): The Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) today stated that “there is no question of merger with anybody,” while dismissing what it termed was “false rumors and propaganda that is being spread against the interest of the NDPP.”

A press note from the NDPP media and communications committee assured the citizens of the state that “we will carry the voice and aspirations of the masses and stand firm on the commitments which we have given to the electorates.”

It claimed that the NDPP-BJP alliance under the leadership of Prime Minister, Narender Modi and NDPP Chief Ministerial candidate, Neiphiu Rio is “fully confident of securing absolute majority and form a stable government that will provide progressive development, boost economic growth and facilitate lasting peace.”

It assured that the party would not resort to any form of false rumors or propaganda that spreads lies. “We have carried out a clean, mature and responsible campaign, highlighting our principles, values and our vision for Nagaland,” the party claimed.

The NDPP meanwhile also assured that they would provide “transparent government, combat corruption and bring about a culture of meritocracy with prevalence of social justice under the principles of our motto, deeds not words.”
