Dimapur, June 25 (MExN): Physionique Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Centre, Dimapur organised awareness programme with free treatment at the centre on June 25.
The event was conducted by Physionique team along with visiting physiotherapist Dr. Frieda PT (research scholar in geriatric disability).
It mainly focussed on patients with neurological conditions like stroke, Parkinson, multiple myeloma and children with cerebral palsy and delayed milestones etc.
Dr. Frieda PT emphasized on the importance of physical rehabilitation in such patients to bring functional independence for accomplishing activities of daily living and improving their quality of life thus decreasing the care-giving burden.
She also encouraged the working physiotherapists to come up with more awareness programme focussing on the role of physiotherapy on other common problems like spondylosis, disc prolapse, lower back pain, arthritis, sciatica etc.
