Sandra Oberoi in Kohima, conducts musical workshop

Sandra Oberoi, soprano, vocal coach, music educator and motivational speaker from Bangalore is currently in the state capital Kohima in connection with musical training, workshop and concert.   She graced the NBCC Youth Day of Prayer (Morning Worship Service) at Chakhesang Baptist Church Minister’s Hill (CBCMH) here this morning and shared testimony.   Later, she performed at musical concert organized by CBCMH entitled “On time God.”   Earlier, on July 1, she conducted musical class to children and youth choir.   On July 3, she will conduct musical workshop designed for different churches in Kohima from 12:00 noon onwards at CBCMH.   Oberoi gave her first public solo performance at the age of three. Over the years, she has performed around India, the United States, United Kingdom, Africa, Russia and most recently in Canada, spreading the message of hope through her songs, challenging people to use their talents for the greater good and for the glory of God.   She also motivates students and young professional pursue excellence and live purposely.   Some of her notable music performances include representing India at the International Women’s Festival in Nairobi, performing at the World Paralympics Mascot launch opening ceremony,   She has performed with the world’s highest selling gospel music artist Don Moen, featured soloist with the Northwestern University Summer Chorus, USA and performed as quest artist at the Ravi Zacharias’ International Ministries National Conference.   Oberoi is equipped with a Master in Music Education and Voice from Northwestern University USA.   She earned the recognition of being not only voice teacher in India to be endorsed by the prestigious National Association of Teachers of Singing, USA, and has earned a Certificate in Figure Proficiency from Estill Voice International- an organization committed to the scientific study of healthy vocal production.   She is an active member of the International Society for Music Education, an initiative by the United Nations, and the International Arts Movement based in New York city.   She has quest lectured at the University for the Nations in Santa Fe, New Mexico and is often invited to share her perspectives as a singer as well as offer lessons as a vocal coach for voice students, professional voice users, church choirs.   She also collaborates with medical students and doctors voice to lecture in the healthy use of the voice and teach voice therapy.
