State-level POSHAN Tracker App training underway

Kohima, May 23 (MExN): A five-day state level POSHAN Tracker App training kicked off at the Directorate of Social Welfare (DSW), Kohima on May 23 with stress on importance of data uploading on the app.

The training is being imparted to the District Project Officers (DPOs), Child Development Project Officers (CDPOs), Supervisors and POSHAN Co-ordinators from all districts in Nagaland and approximately 350 trainees are scheduled to attend the 5-day event. 

A press release from State Programme Management Unit (SPMU), Rashtriya Poshan Abhiyaan informed that on the inaugural day, Director, Department of Social Welfare Tosheli stressed on the importance of data uploading in the POSHAN tracker app.

Tasks performed without uploading data in the tracker app will reflect as task not done, she added, while urging the trainees to work in coordination with each other and improve and reflect the performance of the State in the POSHAN tracker app.

Joint Project Coordinator (JPC), Poshan POSHAN Abhiyaan /Deputy Director, Soren Kikon also underlined the importance of uploading of Aadhaar verified beneficiaries in the POSHAN tracker as all the funds for the different schemes are being linked to the card. 

Topic on Community Based Events and Growth Monitoring was also done by Peter Vero, BCC Consultant, Poshan Abhiyaan.
The training is designed to be followed up with a roadmap for training of ICDS functionaries at Block levels to be developed by DPOs and CDPOs, the release said. 

The resource persons of the training are State NeGD Longkumpo Jamir and SPMU POSHAN.
