Dimapur, July 12 (MExN): One person was killed and four others injured after the vehicle they were traveling in skidded off the road and plunged 100-metre from NH 29 near Piphema early Wednesday morning. The ill-fated passenger vehicle- a Tata Winger carrying seven occupants including the driver was heading towards Dimapur from Imphal when the accident occurred. The traffic police identified the deceased as one Zubrata Dev (57 years). The injured passengers were identified as Sumit Dev, the son of the deceased; Keiphelnanvi Haokip, a CRPF Havildar from Imphal West; Rani , a resident of Nepali Basti Dimapur; and Sandeep, the driver of the vehicle. All the injured, the police added, were admitted to the District Hospital, Dimapur.
