Dimapur, May 22 (MExN): Ten people have been reported injured in a clash between villagers of Maolva and Tsuma village in Medziphema tonight. Following the clash which erupted at around 6:30 PM, the administration has imposed 144 Cr.PC in the area. According to late night reports received here, all the injured were from Maolva and have been rushed to Medziphema hospital. The injured, including one in a serious condition, reportedly wore gunshot wounds. The administration said the clash erupted over an old dispute over land. The villagers clashed using even single bore barrel guns, sources said. Personnel from the 20th Assam Rifles and the police have been deployed to contain the situation. The ADC of Medziphema said a meeting has been scheduled for both villages. The situation is under control, the official added.
