The NNC/FGN Lotha Region held an executive meeting-cum-appointment and oath-taking programme during which 10 new Leacys from nine sub-regions were inducted into office on June 16.
The oath of office was administered by Midan Peyu of NNC/FGN Lotha Region, Hathungo Kithan, who also handed over appointment orders to the newly inducted members.
Addressing the gathering, Kithan urged the appointees to carry out their responsibilities with sincerity, dedication and integrity. He called upon them to remain steadfast in “upholding and defending the sovereignty of Nagaland while working for the welfare and advancement of the Naga people.”
Emphasising the principles of genuine freedom and selfless service, he reminded the new leacys not to seek personal benefits or privileges through their positions, but to devote themselves to the collective aspirations of the Nagas. He stressed the importance of “strengthening Naga unity, sovereignty and integration in pursuit of a lasting political solution.”
Kithan further encouraged the members to remain true to the ideals of the Naga movement and to uphold values of honesty, commitment and sacrifice. He also urged all those present to “reflect on the core principles of the Naga struggle and work together for unity, integrity and the greater good of the Naga nation.”
