Mokokchung, August 7 (MExN): The 10th Inter-school Table Tennis Tournament, organized by the Mokokchung District Table Tennis Association, got underway at Multi-purpose sports complex, Mokokchung. K Libemo Jami, Youth Resource Officer, Mokokchung, was the special guest at the inaugural programme of the tournament. Libemo in his speech congratulated the MDTTA for giving opportunity to the young talents to compete among themselves and for promoting the sport. He said that sport is a powerful tool which can shape an individual if utilised in the right way. He also added that schools should not be reluctant to let students participate in such tournaments, and rather encourage them. The welcome address at the inaugural programme was given by Watitoshi, President, MDTTA. More than 60 students from various schools are participating at the ongoing tournament. The two day tournament will culminate on August 08.
