Imphal, November 6 (MExN): Dimdailong YC, Gaidimjang FC, Sawombung Sairem YC (SSYC), and Chinikon YC all registered wins by a margin of one goal in their respective matches on Saturday in the ongoing 10th Jadonang Memorial Football Tournament at the THAU Sports Complex, Imphal. Dimdailong YC defeated Rongkaidai KYC by a solitary goal in the first match on Saturday morning. Gaisinthui Gangmei (Jersey No. 9) grabbed the winner early in the second half scoring in the 47th minute. Kadimbung of Dimdailong YC, Lucky Gondaimei and Samuel Gwangin of Rongkaidai KYC were penalised with yellow cards for foul play. Gaidimjang FC edged Majorkhul YA in the second match. Jiangongrei Dangmei (No. 9) found the net early on as he opened the scoring in the 8th minute before Meijiangam Gangmei (No. 4) doubled the lead in the 20th minute. Gaichamdin Kamson (No. 12) pulled a goal back in the 30th minute as the match ended 2-1. In the third match, Sawombung Sairem YC overcame Duithanjang YC. Palmei Dingampu (No. 11) opened the scoring in the 30th minute for SSYC before Wikingbou Daimai (No. 12) equalised in the 41st. Palmei Poupangai grabbed the winner in the 58th as SSYC won 2-1. Chinikon YC edged Konthoujam Maning TYC in the final game of the day. Panmei Donny (No. 10) and Ph. Jackson (No. 16) both scored in the first half – 33rd and 42nd minutes respectively – for Chinikon YC. Lansinpou Gommei (No. 8) reduced the deficit early in the second half scoring in the 48th minute as CYC won 2-1.
