Dimapur, August 6 (MExN): Nagaland reported 110 fresh COVID-19 cases and 1 more death on Friday.
Among the districts, Peren reported the highest number of cases with 33, Kohima-26, Dimapur-21, Longleng-10, Mokokchung -9, Zunheboto-5, Tuensang-3, while Kiphire, Mon and Wokha reported 1 case each. The new cases were detected from among 1,921 samples tested in the last 24 hours, returning a daily positivity rate of 5.73 percent.
According to the daily bulletin issued by the state Integrated Disease Surveillance Programme (IDSP), one death was reported from Peren district. The bulletin also stated that 79 patients who previously tested positive for the virus, recovered in the last 24 hours.
With this, the total tally of infections in the state now stands at 28,445, out of which 1,370 are active cases and 25,682 have recovered. The COVID-19 death toll in Nagaland stands at 568 and 14 other deaths were classified as ‘non COVID-deaths (with COVID-19 positivity),’ as per the bulletin.
