Wokha, November 7 (MExN): To review the health working status and strengthen the services at health units in the district, the 11th Common Review Mission (CRM) team headed by Dr. Yashpal Sharma, Registrar, Govt. Medical College, J&K & former MD, NHM, J&K has arrived in Wokha.
The nine-member team, which includes Dr. Manjunatha R, IIHMR Bangalore, Dr. S. Selvarajan Research Officer, (SIDDHA), Dr. Jagjeet Singh NHSRC, Dr. Ankur Yadav, Astt. Professor NIHFW Delhi, Dr. Limalemla Jamir, IIPH Shillong, Mandar Randive, Cons. NHM, Risha Kushwaha, Cons. AH, and Shivam Jain, Fin. Cons NHM (MoH&FW), reached the district on November 5.
The CRM team had a meeting with the Deputy Commissioner, Wokha, State officials and district officials regarding the purpose of their visit at the Hammock Resort, informed a press release from Mhonbeni Ezung, Media Officer, NHM Wokha.
Wezope Kenye, DC Wokha said that the district Medical Department despite the challenges of bad road connectivity and difficult terrain has tried their best, and is in a mission mode to deliver and make health care services accessible to the community, the release added.
Dr. Yashpal Sharma, the CRM team leader stated the team is not there for fault finding, but to look at the overall performance of health care services and existing facilities, find solutions/ inputs for improving health service delivery to the community.
