Dimapur, December 3 (MExN): The 11th edition of Dimapur Night Carnival (DNC) is all set to commence from December 14 to 20 with a promise to bring fun and gaiety to the citizens of Dimapur this Christmas. Organised by the Dimapur district administration and Dimapur Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI) the annual carnival began from 2013, at that time to commemorate 50 years of Nagaland statehood, a DCCI press release stated. “The district administration came out with the idea of organising DNC together with the business community of Dimapur,” it said.
Moreover, the carnival was initiated with the main objectives of providing citizens of Dimapur and adjoining districts a good time with their families and friends; to give an avenue to unemployed youth and also promote young local entrepreneurs. “The carnival is purely a non-profit initiative,” they mentioned.
The DCCI further added that since there are limited stalls in this year’s edition, registration will be on first come first basis.
Registration forms will be available at The Naga Bowl Express, Bank colony; Titan show room, NL Road and Save Store, Duncan Road. Last date of form submission is December 8 at Music Channel office, next to Naga Bowl Express, Bank colony.
