Kohima, October 15 (MExN): The 11th Kohima Open Volleyball Tournament 2024 (Men & Women) under the aegis Kohima District Volleyball Association (KDVA) have been postponed to 30th October to 1st November at Hockey Ground, Indira Gandhi Stadium, Kohima under the theme “Transcending through Sports.”
Kethosituo Sekhose, Director, Youth Resources & Sports, Government of Nagaland, will grace the inaugural function as the special guest.
Roko Angami, former international football player and presently OSD (Sports), Department of Youth Resources & Sports, Government of Nagaland will be the special guest at the closing ceremony.
The Association invites all interested teams, clubs, and enthusiastic players from within and outside the state to join the tournament.
Forms have been made available at Sports World, main Town Kohima and Star Sports, BOC Kohima.

KDVA informed that the prize money has been enhanced from this edition. In Men’s Category, the champion will carry Rs 1 lakh, Runner-up- Rs 50,000. Losing semi-finalists: Rs 15,000.
Women’s Category: Champion: Rs 60,000, Runner-up: Rs 30,000. Losing semi-finalists: Rs 10,000 each.
Individual awards will also be presented for both categories: Best Setter: Rs 5,000 each. Best Spiker: Rs 5,000 each.
