Wokha, February 5 (MExN): The last league stage matches of the ongoing 11th Lotha Football Championship (LFC) organised by Wokha District Football Association was played at local ground Wokha on February 5.
Plying their last league match Tsumang Football Club defeated Kickers FC by 14-0 to enter the quarter finals, Sulanthung displayed an outstanding individual performance for Tsumang FC who scored seven (7) goals and making him the third player to score an hat trick in the 11th LFC, Mhonthung became the fourth player to score hat trick who also netted 4 goals for Tsumang FC.
The match between Lower “E” Khel Wokha Village and Yondon Youth Association Pangti (YYAP) ended in 1-1 draw, YYAP needed a full point to enter the knockout stage and Woben Shitio gave YYAP a lead in the 52nd minute but their hope of entering the quarters was shattered as Eshong found the equalizer in the 54th minute as Lower “E” Khel just needed a point to enter the quarters.
A1 Tsungiki defeated Tsumang Young Stars by 6-0 making them the group “D” leader. Hatsabemo scored three goals in the 16th, 39th and 49th minutes, while Nyithong and Saronbemo scored a goal each for A1.
