11TH LOTHA FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP: Longsa FC, Friends Club, NRSA & Glory Hunters register win

Wokha, February 1 (MExN): On day four of the ongoing 11th Lotha football championship organised by Wokha District Football Championship, the first match of the day was played between Lonsga Sports Association (LSA) and Yondon Youth Association, Pangti, in a one sided match Longsa SA defeated Yondon Youth Association by 5-0, Iteibabe Kenn and Wonrhonthung scored two goals each for LSA, while Nukhosa Vero added one more goal in the dying minute to make it 5-0.

In the second match one of the tournament favourites Friends Club Wokha Village (FCWV) beat XI Brother by 4-0, Aloumai of FCWV became the second player to score an hat trick who scored in the 8th, 15th & 40th minute of the game. Lirhonthung who scored the first hat trick of the tournament in their first match yet scored another goal in the 56th minute to make his individual dally to 4 goals making him the one of the top contender for the highest scorer of the tournament. Thomas Lotha and Awangbo of FCWV were cautioned in the 23rd & 26th minutes for unsporting behaviour.

NRSA won their second match of the tournament by defeating Titans XI by 2-1. Early goals from Meribemo and Zuben in the 6th & 8th minute sealed victory for NRSA, the lone goal for Titans XI was scored by Ngulie Pochury in the 58th minute.

Glory Hunters defeated Old Aree Sporting Club by 3-1 in the last match, Kevizole of Glory Hunters scored in the 5th & 12th minutes while Yanpo Ovung added one more goal in the 45th minutes.
