12 Myanmar based NSCN (K) members join NSCN (R)

DIMAPUR, OCTOBER 8 (MExN): Twelve (12) armed Myanmar based NSCN (K) cadres led by Maj Gen Tingkam Konyak and Brigadier Tampha Konyak has joined NSCN (R). 

According to a press release issued by NSCN (R) MIP Secretary, an official program was organized to welcome them at CHQ, Pinhang, Tizit on October 7.

Welcoming the members, NSCN (R) president Y Wangtin Naga and Ato Kilonser P Tikhak expressed happiness and thanked the officers and cadres for taking the right decision in joining the group, the press release stated.  Maj Gen Tingkam Konyak and Brigadier Tampha Konyak thanked the collective leadership of NSCN (R) for giving them yet another opportunity to work for the nation. They, meanwhile, expressed unhappiness over the killing among Naga brothers in Myanmar and termed it as “highly disturbing and not helping any of the group or faction in any manner rather sending a very wrong signal to the outside world.”
