130 women complete soft toys making training

Aboi, May 17 (MExN): The month long soft toys making training organized by FPA India at Aboi, Mon district under the aegis of the Government of Nagaland and Ministry of Tribal Affairs under Article 275(1) 2017-18 program has successfully concluded on May 17 with 130 female trainees receiving their award of certificate on completion.  

FPA in a press release stated that Songmeth, and Threingyei, President and Secretary KNSK Aboi Unit respectively distributed the certificates to the trainees while the President exhorted the trainees to carry forward the new skill and help in entrepreneurial pursuits and not just adorning the homes.  

She encouraged the young trainees to form self help groups and pursue their economic independence dreams where the KNSK will provide full fledge support. She also thanked the organizers and the trainers for providing free training at a time when people pay to avail such opportunity in long distance centers.  

Pongchoi on behalf of the trainees expressed gratitude to FPA India and the trainers for the wonderful experience and the opportunity to learn new skill in friendly and homely ambience with much patience and resourceful teaching.  

The General Manager of FPA India Nagaland Branch Vincent Belho congratulated the trainees and urged them to continue their practice of the new skill to perfection and join hands in the form of Self Help groups for onward ventures. He exhorted the trainees to recall and reflect on the health topics of discussions during the earlier sessions wherein matters on family planning, HIV & AIDS, Hepatitis and birth control topics were discussed saying Health is wealth and without good health; even new skills will not enable profitable economic empowerment.
