154 Military General Hospital conducts med camp at Mima

Kohima, February 27 (MExN): A medical camp was conducted today by the Military General Hospital for the Civil Fraternity of Mima village today. The free medical camp was organized under the aegis of Spear Corps and the Formidable Fifty Six Army formation, as part of the health-care activities, under the ongoing military civic action programme.
A press note issued by PRO (Defence) Kohima, Col RK Palta stated that the aim of the medical camp conducted, was to provide Health-care and Free Medical check-up and treatment for various commonly occurring ailments, for the civil fraternity of Mima village area.
The camp was inaugurated by Col TN Mukherjee, the Commanding Officer, 154 General Military Hospital, Zakhama.  Addressing the sizeable gathering at the inaugural function of the camp, Col Mukherjee stated that the 154 Military General Hospital, Zakhama has been serving the civil fraternity of villages in the region ever since its inception, providing much needed comprehensive multi-faceted multi-dimensional Primary, Secondary and Tertiary health-care to the civil fraternity of the region, and generating immense goodwill among all. The present medical camp is the latest in the series of such camps, to bring high quality health care and medical facilities to the doorstep of the civilian brethren, and would further contribute to re-inforcing the goodwill between the Army and the civilian fraternity of the region. It is noteworthy that the previous such medical camp which was held at Kigwema village, had also evoked a good response, and approx 350 plus civilians had availed of the services offered by the camp. He exhorted the civilian brethren to make optimum use of  the facilities provided by the present camp also.  
Approximately 500 civilians availed of the free medical check-up and treatment services offered at the camp by medical team of 154 Military General Hospital, Zakhama comprising Maj Jayashree BS, Capt Khushboo, Capt Premjeet, the nursing officers of the Military Nursing Service and the Para-medical staff.  The chairman of Mima village  Khriesavilie Khano C, the secretary Aletuo Shunyii and other village elders thanked the Army authorities for their thoughtful and caring gesture of organising the medical camp in Mima village, and the 154 Military General Hospital for conducting the same, for the welfare of the civilians of the area, the note said.
