Old Changsu FC, Friends Club, Nitsuyan FC and NRFC register win

The 15th Lotha Football Championship (LFC) 2026, organised by the Wokha District Football Association (WDFA), continued to deliver competitive group-stage action on Day 4 at the Wokha local ground, with Old Changsu FC, Nitsuyan FC, Friends Club and NRFC registering important victories.
In the 10th match of the tournament, Old Changsu FC put up a dominant performance to thrash Emirates FC by a convincing 6–0 margin. Ekonthung Kithan (Jersey No. 12) opened the scoring early in the 5th minute. Lavanthung Kithan (Jersey No. 7) was the standout performer of the match, netting four goals in the 30th, 40th, 46th and 53rd minutes. Hathungo (Jersey No. 13) added the final goal in the 65th minute to complete the emphatic win for Old Changsu FC.
The 11th match witnessed Nitsuyan FC secure a hard-fought victory over Tsumang FC. Yiben Ezung (Jersey No. 9) scored a brace in the 19th and 41st minutes to guide Nitsuyan FC to the win in a closely contested encounter.
In the 12th match, Friends Club registered a comprehensive win over Flamingo FC. Randanbemo (Jersey No. 4) opened the scoring in the 2nd minute, followed by a fine hat-trick from Renjamo (Jersey No. 11) in the 31st, 37th and 41st minutes. Lirhonthung (Jersey No. 77) added another in the 54th minute. Flamingo FC managed a consolation goal through Nitova (Jersey No. 9) in the 42nd minute.
In another fixture of the day, NRFC edged past Star Madrid N. Colony with a narrow 1–0 victory. Yanrenthung (Jersey No. 3) scored the decisive goal in the 20th minute to seal the win for NRFC.
As the championship progresses, the tournament continued to witnessed strong spectator turnout and spirited performances.
Fixtures on February 2
Matches will resume on February 2 with four fixtures scheduled for the day. Star Madrid FC will take on Nitsu Yan FC at 9:00 am, followed by Emirates FC versus Friends Club at 10:30 am. The third match of the day will see Airfield Colony FC face Tsumang FC at 12:30 pm, while Yon Sporting Club will play against Old Changsu FC at 2:00 pm.
