162 children join Olympic Day Run 2025 in Kohima

KOHIMA, JUNE 24 (MExN): The Nagaland Olympic Association (NOA) observed Olympic Day Run 2025 on June 23 at Indira Gandhi Stadium, Kohima under the theme “Move, Learn, Discover-Together for a Better World.”

The event aimed to promote fitness, friendship and the Olympic spirit among children.

The Olympic Day Run 2025 witnessed an enthusiastic turnout of 162 registered participants children between the ages of 8 to 12 years.

NOA senior vice president T. Meren Paul flagged off the races.

Kethosituo Sekhose, Director, Department of Youth Resources & Sports, Government of Nagaland, graced the event as the special guest.

Vote of thanks was proposed by Neivikuolie Nicholas Khatsu, assistant secretary general, NOA.

With a total prize pool of over Rs 1 lakh, the Olympic Day Run 2025 was a vibrant celebration of sportsmanship and youth participation, reflecting NOA’s commitment to fostering a healthier and more active society, according to NOA media team.
