
Dimapur, November 6 (MExN): Nagaland reported 17 new COVID-19 cases from 695 samples that were tested on Saturday, the state health department said. All 17 cases were from random sampling and self tests.
As per the daily health bulletin which is compiled by the state Integrated Disease Surveillance Programme (IDSP), 13 of the new cases were from Dimapur while Kiphire, Kohima, Mokokchung, and Phek districts reported one each. One fatality was also reported in Dimapur, taking the COVID-19 death toll to 673. This is excluding 16 other deaths that were classified as ‘Non COVID deaths (with COVID positivity)’ in the bulletin.
A total of 13 patients—nine from Dimapur and four from Kohima recuperated from the disease in the last 24 hours, taking the cumulative total of recovered cases to 29,998. As of 6:00 pm, Saturday, the cumulative tally of infection sin the state stood at 31,922, out of which 188 were active cases.
