Our Correspondent Kohima | October 14 Tiemakhe,Kidima and Nagaland Police (Red) today moved to the quarterfinals after registering wins in their respective pre-quarter matches at the ongoing 17th NSF Martyrs’ Memorial Trophy here at the Kohima Local Ground. In the first match of the day, Tiemakhe, Kidima overpowered Tragopan Club Viswema 3-0. Tiemakhe opened the scoring early on with Shiirhosiil Pucho finding the back of the net in the 14th minute. Zadutol Phinyo and Kevisekho Thokhwe(17) then scored a goal apiece in the 55th and 67th minute respectively. Tali Akum of Tragopan Club and Anoto Kweho of Tiemakhe were cautioned with yellow cards. Tiemakhe will now face Barak FC in the Quarters on October 18. In the second match, Nagaland Police (Red) drubbed the spirited Kuki United 3-0. Nagaland Police (Red) took an early lead with Kekhrie scoring in the 7th minute. Kekhrie then doubled the lead in the 36th minute before Lima Kumzuk completed the rout in the 37th minute. Kuki United put up a spirited display and did not hold back but none of their attacking players failed to convert the many attempts. Bendang Meren and Saku Temjen, both from Nagaland Police were cautioned with yellow cards for unsporting behaviour. Nagaland Police (Red) will next take on Asiifii Christian Institute in the quarters on October 17.
