1st Quasar Inter-college Table Tennis Tournament 2019 ends

St. Joseph’s College, Jakhama and Japfü Christian College, Kigwema emerged the winners of men team and women team event respectively at the two day long 1st Quasar Inter-college Table Tennis Tournament 2019, which concluded here today at Indoor Table Tennis Stadium.

St. Joseph’s College, Jakhama emerged as the winner of the men team event while Model Christian College Kohima stood runners up.

For girl’s team event, Japfü Christian College Kigwema emerged the champion after defeating St. Joseph’s College, Jakhama in the final.

Metevito Kintso defeated Kevilevor Metha in the final to win open category for boys while Aboli N. Kinimi emerged victorious over Bewe-ü Kenneth in the final for girl’s category.

Nagaland Table Tennis Association (NTTA) general secretary Swelul Pucho graced the closing ceremony as the special guest and gave away prize to the winners.

Altogether, 40 participants from eight colleges took part in the tournament.

The tournament was organized The Quasar Club Kohima in collaboration with Kohima District Table Tennis Association (KDTTA).
