1st Super Six Cricket tournament underway in Kohima

12 teams have qualified for second round in the ongoing 1st Super Six Cricket tournament under the theme, ‘Pursue Oneness’. The two-day tournament kicked off today at Ruzukhrie High School Ground, Kohima. 

Gracing the occasion, Ato Puro, PS to Advisor, Urban and Municipal Affairs, Government of Nagaland spoke on the scope of cricket in the state and to pursue cricket as a profession. 

He also emphasised on reviving the game in the state and encouraged the youths to take up sports seriously. 

Puro also interacted with members of three teams from the Kohima Orphanage Destitute Home and encouraged them.

Host of the event Anato Sema, Convener Organising Committee during the inaugural session informed that a total of 31 teams have registered for participating in the event.

He also informed that apart from prize money for champion and runners up team, there are individual prizes for highest runs scorer, highest wicket taker, and best fielder. 

Earlier, the oath was administered by by Keneingulie Kiso, Member, The Adjustment Bureau while its President Kevichütuo Yhoshü gave the  vote of thanks.

The event is organised by Yepthomi Brothers and The Adjustment Bureau.

Match Day 2: March 7: 
1st Match: Dynamic Sixers Vs NV Press.
2nd Match: Kohima Veteran Cricket Club Vs 15BRTF.
3rd Match: The Ripples Vs Chandmari Boys.
