Longleng, September 23 (MExN): The launching programme of 2-lane road project (package-2) from Alayong Junction to Longleng Town Zero Point under NHIDCL was held at Lomching Camp, Longleng district on Wednesday.
The project is being taken up by Kshreeraabd Construction Pvt. Ltd. (KCPL).
Speaking during the programme, Longleng Deputy Commissioner M Shayung Phom expressed appreciation to the Nagaland Minister for Health & Family Welfare S Pangnyu Phom, for his active participation and involvement in getting the project approved, a press release informed.
Stating that the approval has fulfilled the long awaited desire of the people, the DC on behalf of the Minister expressed regret for not being able to attend the launching programme since the latter is on an official visit to Delhi.
The Deputy Commissioner urged the company to maintain close coordination and work in consultation with the District Administration and Police during the execution of the work so as to ensure proper implementation of the project without any hindrances from anti-social elements.
He also called upon the company to maintain workmanship and assured cooperation and support from the District Administration and Police. He also urged the affected villages to extend their support and cooperation during the implementation of the project.
Longleng Senior Superintendent of Police Yanithung Ezung congratulated the people of Longleng district for achieving another milestone in the road connectivity sector. He further assured cooperation and security to all the workers involved in the project.
According to the release, the programme was chaired by Longleng HQ and Yachem EAC Pichano Kikon; invocation was pronounced by Youth Pastor, Yaongyimchen Baptist Church while the welcome address was delivered by O Alem Phom, PRO (KCPL).
KCPL contractors Ghunavi Jakhalu and Luckson Sumi gave an introductory and brief report of the project, while N Tialemba Phom, Executive Secretary, PBCA, pronounced the dedicatory prayer.
Other speakers during the programme included President, PPC, PSC and Phomla Hoichem; VCC, Yaongyimchen, Orangkong and Noksosang; public Leaders, Leisha Phom, A Bushi Phom and L Mailo Phom, the release stated.
