
Dimapur, April 25 (MExN): Four-day teachers’ training on National School Safety in Kohima, which started April 25 at two centers; Rüzhükhrie Government Higher Secondary School Kohima and Red Cross Conference Hall Kohima saw attendance of 200 teachers from 200 different schools across Kohima. Educationist, Dr. Hovithal Sothu from Administrative Training Institute, Nagaland, who is the State Coordinator for Disaster Management, spoke widely on the “Hazard and Vulnerability Profile of the State” at both venues.
Introduction to National School Safety Programme was given by Khrolo-u Koza Lohe, Training and Capacity Building Officer, Nagaland State Disaster Management Authority (NSDMA) and Thejangulie Zao, District Project Officer Kohima, NSDMA. The Trainers who were trained earlier this month from various schools were the resource persons who spoke on various topics.
Neizetuonuo, Deputy District Education Officer, Kohima at the programme said the selfless participation of the teachers from all the schools, as well as the resource persons made the starting of this programme a huge success. She also added the participation of the teachers in the next three days will mark the success of the programme.
