20th NSF Martyrs’ Memorial Trophy 2019: Centurion, Viswemi FC set up title clash

Viswemi FC today booked finals berth after defeating strong opponent MVYO Meriema 2-1 in the second semi finals of the ongoing 20th NSF Martyrs’ Memorial Trophy here at Kohima Local Ground.
Kelengol Toso first connected a goal for Viswemi FC in the 25th minutes.
The equalizer goal for MVYO Meriema came through the boot of Keneisezo Keditsu in the 73rd minute.
Both the team locked in a 1-1 draw within the full time play.
An additional time of 30 minutes was further given to the proceedings of the match.
Viswemi FC scored their second goal breaking the lock to their advantage in the 106th minutes by Vilu Theyo.
With this victory, Viswemi FC will now face Centurion FC Kohima village in the finals on October 19 at 1:00 PM.
Meanwhile, an exhibition match between Naga Students' Federation (NSF) and Angami Students' Union (ASU) will take place on October 18 at 2:00 PM.
KG Kenye to grace grand finale
K.G. Kenye, Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha) will grace the grand finale on October 19 as special invite at 1:00 PM.
Asano Zashiimo and Viketuno Hiekha will compere the valedictory function. Hallel Singers will present special number. The function will also witness band display from Adolescent Girls Club Christ, King Higher Secondary School Kohima and special appearance by Mhalesino Tepa. Vote of thanks will be proposed by ASU secretary education Viranu Ltu.
Students of Vineyard School Kohima & Jo Foundation Inclusive School Kohima will escort the players of the grand finale.
