Team Nagaland emerged as champions of the 21st Kushal Open Tennis Championship (East Zone) hosted by Tripura Tennis Association at Agartala from February 20 to 23. Nagaland Lawn Tennis Association (NLTA) in a press release stated that Vilasier Khate won the singles category and the trio of Vilasier, Keneisezotuo Whourie and Kepevilie Khate won the doubles and team event as well. Altogether 10 teams from East Zone India participated.
