Dimapur, October 8 (MExN): The 22 Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (N) conducted an awareness rally and free medical camp on HIV/AIDS at Ziphu Village, Phek on October 5.
The aim of the awareness rally was to educate youth about HIV/AIDS and provide free medical checkup and treatment, informed a press note from Lt Col Amitabh Sharma PRO HQ IGAR (North).
A specially constituted team under Major R Praveen of 22 Assam Rifles conducted lecture on HIV/AIDS, it said.
List of Anti Retroviral Therapy Centres in Nagaland for HIV/AIDS patients were intimated to the youth while free medicines were provided to the sick patients.
A total of 40 youths attended the lecture and 20 youths were examined during the free medical camp, it added.
