223 COVID-19 recoveries reported; 93 new cases

Dimapur, September 21 (MExN): A total of 93 new COVID-19 cases, including 64 from armed forces and security personnel were detected in Nagaland, taking the state’s total tally to 5,544 on Monday.

However, the state also witnessed a surge in recoveries with 223 such cases in the last 24 hours, according to the latest official bulletin on the state’s COVID-19 status.

Among the new positive cases, 22 were from ‘traced contacts,’ five from ‘returnees/travellers’ and two were from ‘front line workers.’

While 77 of the cases were from Dimapur district, there were also 13 new cases from Kohima and one case each from Longleng, Phek and Tuensang, as per the bulletin. 

With this, the total number of active cases in the state now stands at 1,052 with 4,451 recoveries. 

As per the severity of symptoms, 1,022 active cases are asymptomatic, 28 active cases are mild and two active cases are moderate.
