Viswemi FC and Unity FC Meriema registered win in their respective matches on day 9th of the ongoing 22nd NSF Martyrs Memorial Trophy 2022 at Indira Gandhi Stadium, Kohima on October 17 under the aegis of Angami Students Union (ASU).
Viswemi FC-8, Grim FC-1
Viswemi FC defeated Grim FC 8- 1 in the first match of the day. Puzoto Vitsu netted four goals for Viswemi FC in 20th, 39th, 53rd and 57th minute. Kelengol Toso scored hattrick for the team in 36th, 58th and 90th minutes. Kelethuto Kin added another goal in the 43rd minute. A lone goal in favour of Grim FC came through Athingdang 16 in 76th minute.
Man of the match was awarded to Puzoto Vitsu of Viswemi FC, which was handed over by Swetol Sothu, patron of 22nd NSF Martyrs Memorial Trophy.
Unity FC-3, Peraciezie YO- 2
Unity FC Meriema defeated Peraciezie Youth Organisation 3-2 via tie-break.
The first goal in favour of Peraciezie YO came through Vilazolie which was equalised by Vikeduolie of Unity FC. In the second half, Vilazolie of Peraciezie YO scored another goal in 84th minute while Vikeduolie of Unity FC equalised again in 87th minutes. After 2-2 draw, the match was decided through tie breaker in which, the match went in favour of Unity FC 3-2.
ASU senior leader Khriezelhou Vitso handed over man of the match award to Vilazolie Rio of Peraciezie YO.
