New Market FC and Shillong Lajong FC today entered semi finals after winning their respective quarter final matches at the ongoing 22nd NSF Martyrs’ Memorial Trophy 2022 at Indira Gandhi Stadium, Kohima under the aegis of Angami Students Union (ASU)
 
New Market FC- 3, Red Scars FC-1
In the 3rd quarter final match, New Market FC defeated Red Scars FC 3-1 to enter semi finals.

The first goal in favour of New Market FC, also the fastest goal of the tournament, was netted by Petevizo Kezio in the 48 second.

The equalizer goal for Red Scars FC came from the boots of Elminhao Kilong  in the 15th minute.

New Market FC took the lead at 35th minute with another goal scored by Yhunshalo Kemp while Rhitso Mero added another goal for the team in the 87th minute.
The man of the match was awarded to Sanyem Salem, which was handed over by Neikeso Zumu, Class 1 contractor.
 
Shillong Lajong FC -9, Unity FC-0
Shillong Lajong FC overpowered Unity FC, Meriema 9-0 in the 4th quarter final match.

Chanmitre opened the account for Shillong Lajong FC in the 18th minute.

Yohan, Kladajied, Aman, Samuel, Ioanis and Everbright Son netted a goal each at in the 27th, 34th, 41st, 45th, 53rd and 67th minute respectively.

Henry Ford added 2 goals for the team in the 82nd and 90th minute.

Neibalie Rio, Special Officer to Chief Minister of Nagaland handed over the man of the match award to Aman Ahlawat.
 
Headhunters FC bans for participation for 3 year
Taking cognizance of Headhunters FC walk out of the match in the First Quarter Final of the 22nd NSF Martyrs’ Memorial Trophy on 21 October 2022, the Jury Board has taken decision on the ground of disciplinary action of By Raw Rule 26 and penalized the Headhunters FC team on the following; that, the Headhunters FC team will be banned from participating in the NSF Martyrs’ Memorial Trophy for three consecutive years with effect from 22-10-2022.

All the match fees and allowances entitled and claims of Headhunters FC for the 22nd edition of the NSF Martyrs’ Memorial Trophy 2022 will be forfeited and any such amount penalized will go for charity activities, according to jury board of 22nd NSF Martyrs’ Memorial Trophy 2022.

The Jury Board has also resolved the appeal of Jotsoma Youth Organisation for three years ban issue since 2019 and declared that the penalized period has expired and the fervent appeal placed for consideration to participate in the forthcoming editions of NSF Martyrs’ Memorial Trophy has been granted henceforth.
