Registering win in their respective matches in the last day of the second round, Pochury Students' Union (PSU) and Shillong Lajong FC today entered the pre-quarter finals of the ongoing 22nd NSF Martyrs’ Memorial Trophy 2022 at Indira Gandhi Stadium, Kohima under the aegis of Angami Students Union (ASU).

Pochury Students' Union defeated Phoenix C&C 3-1 in the first match of the day.

Yiben opened the account for Phoenix C&C in 19th minute.

The equalizer for Pochury Students' Union came through Asie in 33rd minute while Rhongutho netted another goal for PSU in the 36th minute.

PSU confirmed victory by earning the third goal through the boots of Apokiitho in 55th minute.

The man of the match was awarded to Apokiitho of PSU, which was presented by Rocus Rino, finance secretary Angami Youth Organization.
 
Shillong Lajong FC- 11, Dzülouzou FC-0
In their debut match, Shillong Lajong FC overpowered Dzülouzou FC 11-0.

With this win, Lajong FC will now face Pochury Students' Union in the pre-quarters finals on October 22.

Kladajied contributed two goals for Lajong FC in 27th and 37th minute. Chanmitre increased the score tally of the team by scoring two more goals in 34th and 41st minute.

In the second half, Chanmitre netted four more goals in 55th, 58th, 81st and 90th minute, registering double hattrick of the tournament.

Atlan, Everbrightson and Sangti also added a goal each for the team in 74th, 79th and 87th minute.

ASU former president Kelhouneizo Yhome handed over man of the match award to Sangti of Shillong Lajong FC.
