22ND NSF MARTYRS’ MEMORIAL TROPHY 2022: Vafümei Gaziphema, Ura Uvie, New Market, Red Scars enter quarter finals

Vafümei Gaziphema FC, Ura Uvie FC, New Market FC and Red Scars FC today entered the quarter finals after registering win in their respective matches at the ongoing 22nd NSF Martyrs’ Memorial Trophy 2022 at Indira Gandhi Stadium, Kohima under the aegis of Angami Students Union (ASU).

Vafümei Gaziphema FC-4, Infinite FC- 0
Vafümei Gaziphema FC defeated Infinite FC 4-0 in the first match of the day.

Rowland opened the account for Vafümei FC in the 37th minute while Dairhii fetched two goals for the team in the 62nd and 88th minute. Veshalou contributed another goal in the 72nd minute.

The man of the match was awarded to Veishalou of Vapfümei FC, which was handed over by Sikho Thou, organizing committee member.

Ura Uvie FC-11, SWAT FC-0
Ura Uvie FC won the second match against SWAT FC 11-0.

Kevisanyü Peseyie netted the first goal for Ura Uvie FC in 9th minute and scored another goal in 66th minute.

Nythong Magh also added another goal in 19th minutes, while Thejalhouvi Mere scored an own goal in 35th minute.

Nune Medoze scored two goals in 60th and 64th minute. The team also fetched a goal each from Kehrie Tsira, Shürhosül ,Toka, Nosal and Rokovolie in the 43rd ,50th ,70th ,79th  and 85th minute respectively.

Vikato S. Aye, vice president Central Youth Organization, NDPP handed over Man of the match award to Kevisanyü Peseyie of Ura Uvie FC.
 
New Market FC-17, Bucaneers FC-0
New Market FC advanced to quarter final after defeating Bucaneers FC 17-0.

Rhitso Mero of New Market FC scored 11 goals in 12th, 14th,25th,27th,32nd, 70th, 72nd, 79th, 82nd, 83rd and  86th minute.

Sinlo Kent added 2 goals to the score sheet in the 51st and 59th minute.

Kivi Zhimomi, Yunshalo Kemp and Neisede Peseyie contributed a goal each in the 31st, 56th and 75th minute. Dhruba Mandal scored an own goal in 49th minute adding to the score sheet of New Market FC.

Sunup Longchar, proprietor G. Sports Nagaland handed over Man of the match award to Rhitso Mero of New Market FC.
 
Red Scars FC- 5, Phesama YO -1
Red Scars FC defeated Phesama Youth Organisation 5-1 in the last match of the day.

The first goal in favour of Phesama Youth Organisation came from the boots of Vikehiezo Mejura in the 7th minute.
The equaliszer goal for Red Scars FC came through Lalsiemin the 17th minute.

In the second half, Elminhao Kilong netted two goals for Red Scars FC in the 54th and 78th minute. Serto Kom added another goal for Red Scars FC in the 52nd minute. Ropfükolie netted an own goal in the 73rd minute.

Medo Yhokha, advisor Technical Education & Election, Government of Nagaland handed over the man of the match award to Chongloi of Red Scars FC.
