Vafümai Gaziphema Football Club and New Market FC today won their respective matches at the ongoing 22nd NSF Martyrs’ Memorial Trophy at Indira Gandhi Stadium, Kohima.
In the first match, Vafümai Gaziphema FC defeated Phusachodu Warriors FC by 3-2. Okho Christian, Chinakho and Ngachano scored a goal each for Vafümei Gaziphema FC.
Zhoveto Chuzho and Vekusa scored for Phusachodu Warriors. Chinakho has been declared as man of the match.
In the second match New Market FC defeated Patkai Christian College by 8-1. Rhitso Mero and Neisede Peseyie netted three goals each for New Market FC while Yhunshalo contributed two goals.
Eneibi Thopi netted a lone goal of for Patkai Christian College. Rhitso Mero of New Market FC was awarded man of the match in the second match.
In the first round, a total of 15 goals was scored and 3 yellow cards was cautioned.
