Dimapur, August 14 (MExN): Immanuel College Dimapur celebrated its 23rd Annual Social-cum-Cultural Day with pomp and gaiety at the college premise on August 12. The first formal session was held under the theme “Perfect Blend of Dynamism” with Director of Higher Education, I Alempokba as Chief Guest and Alobo Naga as Guest artist. Exhorting the students, Principal Th. Saratchandra Singh quoted Benjamin Franklin’s, “By failing to prepare, you are preparing to fail,” and advised to be always prepared to face life’s challenges. Touching on the theme, “Perfect Blend of Dynamism,” he urged, “Don’t wait for the perfect moment. Take the moment and make it perfect.” Complimenting on the big progress on the students’ enrolment, the Chief Guest I Alempokba in his speech said it was indeed a good story of success, a pleasant growth. By the virtue of good infrastructure and good location, the college in no time can emerged to be an excellent institution for learning, he opined. Viewing that the outlook, attitude and expectations are rapidly changing, the Chief Guest urged the students not to dwell in past but progress with dynamism. Conceptualise new dreams and ideals and do not get limited by your academic performance, he added. He urged the college to introduce courses in functional English, a great demand in recent times especially in South East Asia, as well as skill development. Guest Artist Alobo Naga, who enthralled the gathering with some lively numbers, urged the student to go beyond the usual routine of life and think out of the box. Explore your passion with dedication and hard work and you will succeed in life, he said.
