25 new COVID cases at less than 1% positivity

Nagaland reported 25 new COVID-19 cases on September 9 taking the state total to 30,510. As per the state Integrated Disease Surveillance Programme’s daily bulletin, the sample positivity rate for the day was 0.8 percent, the lowest single day average since the second wave hit. 

Dimapur reported 10 cases, Kohima- 7, Mokokchung and Wokha- 2 each and 1 each in Kiphire, Longleng, Mon and Phek.  

Meanwhile, 70 COVID patients were declared recovered, taking the total recoveries to 28,296 or 92.7 percent. Dimapur reported 21 recoveries, Kohima- 18, Mokokchung- 10, Zunheboto- 8, Phek- 7, Wokha- 3 and 1 each in Mon, Kiphire and Tuensang. 

The total of active cases, as on September 9, was 659, out of which 503 were described as asymptomatic. Among the symptomatic, the condition of 43 patients (31 in Dimapur and 6 in Kohima, 5 in Mokokchung, 1 in Wokha) were described as “severe” requiring intensive care. 

No new deaths were reported.
