A four-day long 25th Inter-district and State Table Tennis Championship 2022 under the aegis of Nagaland Table Tennis Association (NTTA) was held from October 4 to 7 last at Indoor TT Stadium, Kohima.

The championship commemorated 50 years of NTTA under the theme ‘Moving on.’

Chümoukedima district emerged the team championship in Men’s team event while Kohima district stood runner- up.

In women’s team event, Kohima district emerged the team championship while Chümoukedima district stood runner-up. Best sportsmanship title was bagged by Letsonuo Kire.

Gracing the closing function as the special guest, NTTA 1st general secretary Zaputuo Khezhie said that since the inception of NTTA in Nagaland of 50 years, the sport of table tennis had come a long way and encouraged the gathering to strive hard and do their best. He urged the players and winners to keep their mind and vision broad enough to achieve more in life.

NTTA first president Khyomo Lotha also present at the function as patron. Ale Kreo presented a special number. Vote of thanks was proposed by NTTA secretary Lhoulievi Belho.

Meanwhile, the next 26th Inter district & State Table Tennis Championship will be hosted by Mokokchung district in 2023.
