Er. Toshiakum Imchen and Chonbenthung Ovung today emerged the champion title of Veteran 40+ Men’s Doubles at the ongoing 25th Inter District and State Table Tennis Championship 2022 under the aegis of Nagaland Table Tennis Association (NTTA) at Indoor TT Stadium, Kohima.
The duo Er. Toshiakum and Chonbenthung overpowered strong opponent Lhoulievi Belho and James Liezietsu in finals played today.
Nagaland Olympic Association (NOA) secretary general Abu Metha today witnessed some of the matches.
“Wonderful to witness some fantastic upcoming talents” he twitted and extended best wishes to all the participants.
Meanwhile 78 matches played till October 6, according to NTTA Souvenir Committee convenor Vitho Neikha.
The grand finale will take place on October 7 at 4:00 PM.
NTTA first general secretary Zaputuo Khezhie will be the special guest while NTTA 1st president Khyomo Lotha will be the patron.
Vote of thanks will be proposed by NTTA secretary Lhoulievi Belho.
