DEF Tuensang and Settle FC draw 1-1, Khulioh King beat Tenyimi XI 2-0
TUENSANG, OCTOBER 23 (MExN): Day 14 of the 25th Loyem Memorial Senior Soccer Open Championship had DEF Tuensang and Settle FC settling for a tame 1-1. In another match, Khulioh King FC blanked Tenyimi XI FC 2-0.
DEF Tuensang paid dear for a missed penalty spot kick in the 18th minute. Settle FC through a 3rd minute goal from Peshi was leading 1-0 at time. The cops missed several opportunities before another penalty kick came their way. Striker John ensured that he was bang on target to save the match for DEF Tuensang.
In Pool ‘C’, DEF Tuensang have won 1, lost 1, drawn 1, while Settle FC have lost 2 and drawn 1 in three games each.
Khulioh King FC blanked Tenyimi XI FC 2-0 in an exciting Pool ‘D’ game. A brace from Nungsang in the first half of play was enough to seal the fate of the match. Both teams have won 2 and lost 1 so far.
