267 patients treated at health mela in Kuhuboto

Dimapur, April 7 (MExN): A multi-specialty health mela was organised by Primary Health Centre Kuhuboto in collaboration with Nagaland Health Project, Dimapur Unit under Chief Medical Officer, Dimapur on April 6.

According to a press release from the District DMO on Thursday, a total of 267 patients availed the services provided during the Health Mela wherein doctors and staff from various health programmes, Gynaecologist, Paediatrician, and General Medical Officers and Lab Technicians examined the patients and conducted various tests.

A total of 10 Laparoscopic Ligations were conducted, 20 ANC check-ups, 161 patients were screened for various ailments, 32 sample slides were tested for malaria and nine sputum samples were collected for further testing for TB, the release stated.

Additionally, outreach BIS Drive, issue of Ayushman Insurance Card, Interpersonal Communication and counselling on NCD, TB, RCH, malaria and Ayushman Bharat were also carried out along with distribution of IEC materials and free medicines.

The Health Mela was inaugurated by Dimapur CMO Dr I Moatemjen who urged the public to take responsibility for their own health and to contribute in saving and preserving the environment. GB of Kuhuboto town (Sector-6) T Honito Yeptho also urged the public to avail the services provided at the health camp, the release stated.
