Wokha, January 5 (MExN): At the ongoing 26th edition of Twenty-Twenty Winter Cricket Challenge (WCC), the 1st match was played between Salix CC vs Juggernauts on January 5.
Juggrenauts won the toss and opted to bat first making a target of 100 runs in 18.3 over all out.
Romokhon 13 runs and Anil Sharma 23 Runs were the main contributors.
Salix CC while bowling in the form of Hemari Teron claimed 3 wickets restricted to12 runs in 4 over delivery and Waisong claimed 2 wickets in 3.2 over delivery with a restriction of 15 runs.
Salix CC defeated Juggernauts in 19 over (104 runs 9 out) by one wickets where
Naisong 40 not out and Nchumthung 14 runs took the team to victory.
Mhachamo claimed 4 wickets, restricted 14 runs in 4 over and Sanjip in his 3 over claimes 3 wicket,10 runs.
Naisong was adjudged the man of the match for his unbeaten knock of 40 runs and 2 wicket while bowling.
In the 2nd match Royal Strikers Tsumang vs Hornbill CC, Royal Strikers won the toss and opted to bat first making a target of 146 runs all out in 19 over.
Aman 47 runs not out, Akash 47 runs, Renben Murry 14 runs contributed to the team score.
Hornbill CC while bowling, Vikato in his 4 over delivery claimed 4 wickets and restricted 9 runs and claimed a maiden over and Monju in a 4 over delivery, 24 runs claimed 2 wickets.
Hornbill CC were restricted to 105 all out in 20 over while batting where Viketoulie 40 runs and Ango 13 runs could not help the team to win.
Royal Strikers Tsumang of Amar in 4 over, 10 runs claimed 3 wickets and Laxman 4 over 9 runs claimed 3 wickets.
Royal Strikers Tsumang won the match by 45 runs where man of the match was awarded to Amar for his knock of 47 runs not out and 3 wickets haul in 4 over while bowling.
