Wokha, January 6 (MExN): PWD and Tritons CC won their respective matches in the ongoing 26th WCC in Wokha on January 6.
In the first match, GAPYO CC winning the toss opted to bat first and put up a target of 113 runs losing all wickets in 18.2 over. Orenvungo 25 runs and Renbemo 12 Runs contributed to the team total score for GAPYO CC.
Zubemo (3.2 over, 14 runs & 1 maiden) of PWD claimed 3 wickets while Mujbur (3 over, 10 runs) claimed 2 wickets. PWD registered their victory in 16.1 overs where Azmul hussain made 57 runs and Echanthung scored 23 runs taking the team to their win.
Suben Ngullie (2.1 over 21 runs) of GAPYO CC claimed 2 wickets.
PWD won the match by 5 wickets in 16.1 overs. The man of the match was awarded to Azmul Hussain of PWD.
The second match was played between Blitzkrieg vs Tritons CC. Blitzkrieg won the toss and opted to bat first managing to post a target of 134 losing 8 wickets in 20 over. Khyothungo 52 runs (not out) and Lanvung 24 runs contributed for team Blitzkrieng.
Arjun Kumar (4 over 1 maiden 12 runs) of Triton CC claimed 1 wicket and Bidesi (4 over 16 runs) claimed 4 wickets.
Tritons meanwhile quickly claimed victory in just 10.5 over, where Among 39 runs (not out), Fahid Ahmed 23 runs and Neehal 32 (not out) made telling contributions.
Zachamo (3 over 33 runs) of Blitzkrieng claimed 3 wickets.
Tritons won the match by 6 wickets in 10.5 over. The man of the match was awarded to Among for his unbeaten 39 runs.
